The 2012 Summer Olympics have started! 🥂 I was wondering what events inspire you, or what your favorite events are? My favorites are: Gymnastics, Diving, Swimming, and Equestrian events. Do you find watching such dedicated athletes encourage you to want to pole dance more? It sure motivates me! 💪

Your favs are the same as mine Veena! The gymnasts and divers inspire me to become stronger and more graceful. I used to be a compeitive swimmer but had to stop because of health problems so watching the swimming is always a little bitter sweet. I used to dream of being an olympic swimmer.
Gymnastics! Love the balance beam in particular but all the other events too!
My favourite are figure skating, gymnastics, diving and synchronized swimming. I've always wanted to learn to do all of those, I love the grace strength flexibility accuracy and beauty of those sports.
Oh I forgot about Synchronized swimming!!
At the Olympics now watching the volleyball, USA won! I wanted to watch gymnastics but just being here is awesome!
Gymnastics, Swiming and field hockey. I did all of those sports when I was younger. I was a pretty fast swimmer and noticed the best weight loss doing it. I was a field hockey goalie and gymnastics came with the many years of cheerleading I did. Promos for sporting events really move me, I swear its the editing and audio that go with it. I love hearing the stories of struggle to make it. It really made me want to be an olympic athelete or even a better pole dancer now!
Gymnastics is my absolute fave has been since I was really little. I also like to watch swimming, archery, track & field & equestrian. All the above, did for many years when I was younger & still enjoy watching.
I love so many of the sports, but I am the most excited about the gymnastics! :)

Gymnastics and the equestrian sports. I love watching the horses perform. The gymnastics is simelar to pole. If the pole does get into the olympics should it be a sub division of gymnastics?
Like everyone else, GYMNASTICS!! I've been inspired to work on straight legs and proper arm placement.
@Desirae, I think of figure skating as being close to poling, too. The pole spins remind me of skating spins like the back camel spin and Y-spin. The spiral sequences in figure skating look a lot like backsplits variation/stag. Now I can't wait until the Winter Olympics!! (Yep, I had to look up all the skating terms and pull up the pole dance dictionary online haha!)
