Hi. I guess I’ve been at pole awhile now! First found it in 2012, but been consistent since 2016. Read below for my story: Before joining Studio Veena, I had taken five or six pole classes from my current instructor before she opened her own studio, Aerial Bombshell. That was waaaay back in 2012 :) I absolutely loved it, and I ordered a pole! I didn't really do much poling in 2012-2014, due to studying for the bar exam, starting a new job, and being in a bizarre, unhealthy relationship. Finally, after a couple of years of not doing any pole, I put up my pole and joined studio veena January 15, 2014. Then, life got in the way again and once more I could not find time to dedicate to pole. I got a new black powdered pole and started again. While I had my first class in 2012, I didn't really decide to make it a focus and work on it regularly until January 2015. I started taking classes regularly at Aerial Bombshell. Then, haha, after all of that I dislocated my right shoulder in August 2015 :( I had to attend attend PT for four months and start all over once again. I didn’t start regularly poling again until January of 2016. I have limitations due to my past injury but have grown a lot. I do what I can and just enjoy the ride 😘 xoxo MK
