I guess it's true that when you turn 30 your metabolism says "bye bye". I gained 12kg in a year and it;s about time to move that ass :) So I'm 30yo (31 in Nov) , mum of 2 boys. I first did a few pole lessons Feb'2013,i couldnt afford to continue it, or buy my own pole. This year in March me and my husband installed a home made pole from a stainless steel 40mm, we polished it few times. I'm sure it's not perfect but it cost like 50$ instead of 300$ (that's a price range in Poland for Xpert Poles. First it was static, but recently we added 2 bearings and it's a spinning one and it's quite perfect for me. I started to train in March, then after a month i had a knee surgery and didn't do much movement for 2 months. I still dont have a full angle of knee bend but I try to stretch it as often as I can. Then in Sept I had another minor surgery and my pole had to go under bed. I got very frustrated and thinking it must be some kind of a curse and I'll never get back on pole. Right now i'm feeling good so i started it ONCE & AGAIN. My strength is bigger every day and it's finally motivating. My hands finally don't hurt that much, i think my body is adjusting. I CAN: *Hold on pole for about 10-20 sec (depends on a day) *Side pole hold and pulling my legs up in a V position - it's just a signle short movement for now but i like it so much. *thigh hold, and started spinning versionwith elbow grip *Pole sit not for long because i'm slipping and it hurts still :) *Crucifix *Pole Climb - FINALLY!i think my feet are like.. not pole shape or something, now i can finaly climb a litlle, enough to sit higher *Single simple invert position for 2sec - then i slip down :) THINGS TO LEARN: *Sit longer and in other variations *Invert without slipping *Basic Plank *Thigh Rest *Wrist Sit - is that really a beginners thing?? THINGS i woul LOVE to learn someday *Figurehead *Gemini *Scorpio *V invert *Butterfly
