By day, i'm an account manager for a mobile development company (that IS as nonsexy as it sounds:). By night, I teach classes at my own studio: Hudson Valley Pole Arts! It was terrifying to open a studio, but now that I'm almost a year in, it's really overall been very creatively fulfilling. I never wanted to open a studio, but I LOVE teaching, so when I moved to the Hudson Valley (from Brooklyn), I was placed in a situation where I needed to either opened my own place, or travel over an hour to teach at a legitimate studio. Pole has been such an enriching 7 year journey, and has changed my life. I went from not taking it seriously, doing it a little bit every few months, to becoming obsessed, working really hard at it, getting Xpert certified, and then [slowly] celebrating it openly! I want to share my experience with the world. I want to help people find their sensuality, because pole isn't two extremes. It's not about the being the trickster or the whore. It's about finding a harmonious blend of both.
