the theme song from true blood. that was our routine music this week! I do alot of dark rock when I perform (APC, Tool, Slipknot etc) but I do like to change it up to show my range in music and coregraphy. Ive even danced to a 3OH!3 song and considering doing another one!

Hi. I love the question. Music is HUGE for me and the wohle song, sound, the way it makes me feel is centric to my dance. I have different songs based on my mood but truly appreciate the list of songs provided by others so far. Can't wait to go listen on iTUNES and see what I might find as a new sound. Recently I put a twist on this and my husband picked the song I dance to -- I was surprised at what he selected and what he found to be sensual/dance music that he wanted to see me perform to. As to a fav. song of mine to dance to -- Feelin Love by Paula Cole (City of Angels). That song just makes me feel several things at once. I also like quite a few AC/DC songs. I do like Kings of Leon and Alicia Keys - I keep on fallin. Thanks for the post. Can't wait to read more responses.
In real life.. It's a song by a group called Toad the Wet Sprocket, it's called Throw It All Away. It's about focusing on the here and now, and what's important. I tend to dwell on the past. And focus on the destination and not really ever start the journey. 😳 For pole The Kill, by 30 Seconds to Mars... hands down. The moment I hear the first notes I can SEE myself dancing out the whole routine that I've created. Never mind that I can only do about 1/4 of the moves. It's that destination/journey thing again. 😂

LoveSong - Snake River Conspiracy (LOVE this one) Don't forget to Breathe - Bitter:Sweet etc.... Frankly, I can dance to pretty much anything, depending on my mood but these are the ones I can come up with right now. I just love dancing so almost anything will do!! 😀

My signature song has been "Control" from the Mortal Kombat soundtrack ever since high school. It just feels like "me" and when we had a picture slide show of each student growing up at different stages of their lives for graduation, we all had to pick out a part of a song that most suited our personality to play during our segment. It was really interesting and fun to see what each of us chose. I chose "Control" because it made me feel empowered and I loved to dance to it. To this day, whenever I hear it play, I still think "Hey! That's my song!" It's still fits me and makes me feel strong and energized.
the one im really into now is Blonde, Bad and Beautiful. Yes thats the video Alethea is in for like 2 seconds. It sucks that she wasnt in there more (she did a death lay in an airplane peeps!) but I like the song and really fits me sometimes

Hmmm...well, my personal theme song I've always thought would be "I've Gotta Be Me" by Sammy Davis Jr. As for pole, I dunno, probably "Why Don't You Do Right?" sung by Amy Irving. I'm kinda old school and I bear an uncanny resemblance to Jessica Rabbit when I wear red. lol
Must admit lately for me...anything by Michael Buble...which is weird cuz I'm a total "dance music" girl. Also...anything with a latin beat would be considered signature for me.
