What is this move please? I saw it mentioned when people were discussing which masterclasses/workshops they enjoyed. I noticed Carol Helms was the lady teaching this. A description would help but a link to a video would be better. I tried to do a search on this but didn't come up with anything. Thanks for any help. Cxxx

It's when you go from brass monkey to eros and then swing your leg back while coming up to a pole sit in (as much as possible) one fluid movement. I found three examples, but there are probably more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVPMtFI--4o First move in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KWXv9r80ts And at 3:08 in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj9H4nga69Q
Ooh I saw that in a vid recently (the name/location of which I've very helpfully forgotten) and thought it was beautiful! Sadly my knee grip on the BM is not secure enough to get into the eros, let alone swing around again:(
Thank you very much E-Vamp for all those links I will watch and learn hopefully. My Eros is getting more reliable now so maybe this is something I could try it. Cxxx
I'm not gonna lie - this one scary move. I can do it but I always have to hold my breath and close my eyes! 🙄
I will be adding this as a lessons but for now....here is a good angle of me doing this and an example of what hand placement should look like. http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4728 At about 1:18 Its best to bring the inside hand up to the pole..then..swing the leg and body around. Ignore the bent top leg...I nearly put a hole in my ceiling the first time I did it in these boots with my leg extended. LOL 😮
I knew I saw a better example out there!! You know what, I hadn't even noticed that your leg was bent the first time I saw it. Doesn't bother me at all, I think it still looks very pretty!

Although I had tidied it all up a bit by this performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51tri37ABXI Combo starts at 2:25
Think I'll try this one in my next practice..... 😛
Me too.... prepare for more 'pole accidents' posts lol!!
i want to try it!! maybe i should move my pole upstairs to my 8 ft ceiliings and carpet and have my husband on hand in case i try and kill myself trying to do it...well sarcastically speaking of coarse..its a awesome looking move!!
holy crap!! 😮 i LOVE the way that looks!!! i want to try it so bad! i think i'd better wait to be a little stronger 1st so i don't die 😕
I think I saw that on a tiffany hayden ( sorry if a little wrong) recent vid at b spun? or maybe it was a different move * I just remember thinking "holy crap"! she's got legs like forever.
chickened out of trying it 🙁 my knees just won't grip 😈 however, i'm working on splits and am comfortably close to the ground 😀 and i managed a good jamilla too (which i only managed last week) at the end of a sequence 👍 So tonight i'll maybe try again! It's a smaller class and it's my actual class (i gatecrash the class below for extra practice!) so prob a better time to try!! lol!
I love this move - I stil count to 3 before I do it. I haven't fallen out of it - it doesn't mean you can't but if you push straight up into it - it's not so bad. My first attempt was spotted and if you can you should have a spotter for this or go to an open pole somewhere and ask for a spot.
Thanks Charley! I'm def gonna try it tonight - on a roll the past 2 weeks so fingers crossed! Will keep you posted!

😂 😂 😂 I have only waxed once - never again!!!!! 😲 😮 To spot this: have your spotter help lift you up, you'll begin in eros - use the inside arm to give your self a push - have your spotter at your back, holding underneath and have them take you all the way into an upright position. It's not so bad once you get used to it. I have to be sure to do it a lot so I don't get scared of it - I'm a fraidy cat 🙄
Waxing's easy compared to poling!!! lol!! Counted to three, then uccessfully did my tornado on first attempt! 🥂 Did it really slowly at first then on second go I was much faster apparently. Did happy dance!!!! Def gonna keep doing it cos it's fab looking and no one else in studio has attempted it yet - it's mine for a week or 2 lol!!
