So I can't do a pole hold. At all. LOL But when I "do" its because i put my body against the pole and use my legs to hold on and I slide down. Which OBVIOUSLY is not a pole hold. :( is it ok that i can't do them yet? (im doing the 30 day lessons fyi)

Using the legs is an option for the pole hold when starting out. Remember, you're not pulling up at all, you're holding, in the pole hold position, not pulling up higher then where ever you started. It's perfectly normal to slide down or need to use the legs until you become stronger.
You will be surprised how quickly you will build the strength to do it! Jamilla (I think it was her videos) had a really good way to start these and that was you band one knee and balance on your tip toes then lower that leg and band the other. In time you will be able to get both feet off the ground, even if just a split second.
Add me to the list of "30 Day" Pole Hold Awkwardness. I can climb the pole, I can pole sit. (Nope, not jumping ahead (-; These skills are from when I went to a studio.) BUT...having said that, I "sucked" at doing the Day 3 Pole Hold Strength exercise. I love the exercises. Today was day 7. But alas, now I have to go on travel for 5 days. Might as well start over the "30 Day" and see if I am better at "Day 3" this time.
Ive been poling for 5 months. Pole hold still kinda sucks for me. at first, it was IMPOSSIBLE! so,even though it's still wimpy , it's way better than it was before. keep going them and you will gain strength very fast. I really need to work on my left side....
