So I shaved, I normally use oil afterwards but I know I'll be pole dancing and that's not recommended but the night before should that be ok? Or should I use lotion instead ? Which is better? Any ideas? Or what kind of product would be best to use ???

I think the night before would be fine. I wouldn't use an oil or lotion right before you pole because you will probably slide right off the pole! But at the same time if your skin is too dry, you might not have the best grip either. You kinda have to experiment to see what works. Even the weather affects pole grip. I find it way easier to stick to the pole in hot humid weather than in dry cold weather. I live in Canada so the weather is very extreme in both directions
The night before should be fine. Lotion and oil both affect the skin, but I wouldn't put more on than necessary. I'm the opposite to Sammy weatherwise- I pole better in colder weather :P
