new to it all, what do I need

Sorry not sure what happened with my first post. anyways I been watching to take up pole for about a year but just never got round to it. Then last week I went to watch a pole comp where a friend of a friend was competing. I was blown away and ive taken the plung. I will be starting lessons at a stuido soon but as a incentive to stick to it ice got myself a pole for at home. I got the x pole 50mm chrome. but what else do I need? At the show there was all tgese lotions and position,they cleaned the poles with something there mighty grip gloves etc its all a little overwelming. so I have my pole, what else do I need?
