Just had a blast watching burlesque with the other instructors at my studio. We are going to be teaching burlesque fit classes soon! Had such a blast watching the moves and I can't wait to start learning and making up new dances! I'm inspired to do some sexy advanced chair moves now!

That's so funny. I just saw the movie with my local pole pals too! It was cool how Christina used a pole as a prop in that one scene (would have been cooler if she could have spun around it or something, oh well 🙄 ). The movie definitely gets you thinking about sexy chair/floor dances and costumes. It was a fun girls night out. 👍
I know! I wish she had used the pole and actually done a trick or a climb! lol, wishful thinking. Maybe someday they will be making a movie about how pole dancing began! 😀 I can't wait to see what kinds of moves the girls and I come up with for upcoming classes and events! Soooo excited!
I just saw it too! For me, it was the dialogue between Cher and Stanley Tucci that made the movie! Oh, that and dishy Cam Gigandet was pretty easy on the eyes. As for the routines, I liked them (esp. Christina singing Mae West's "A Man What Takes His Time"), but the dancers were all so buff and pro, it wasn't like "real" burlesque to me. That's Hollywood for you, though! It was great eye candy and it was amazing to see Cher and Christina belting out the songs. Oh, and Alan Cumming was awesome, doing his Joel Grey thing--loved to see him back in make up! Fun!!! 🥂
I REALLY want to see that!! I have the sound track already 🥂
You will LOVE it, V!!!
I downloaded the track and spent 2 hours dancing around on the pole. It has some Saucy little numbers!
Can't wait to see this! Its not out here yet though 🙁 Thinks its being released in the UK within the next few weeks fingers crossed!
Saw it last Friday...LOVED IT!! The performances were great and made me want to dance. I did want more done on the pole...but was just happy to see one in a performance. It's not a movie that will change the world and bring deep meaning...LOL..but it's absolutely entertaining!
My husband and I went to the first showing there was at midnite. It was my birthday so I figured why not stay up late and why wait? 😀 I really liked it. I wanted to dance after seeing it. They had little posters of the movie so I grabbed a few for my friends too. After watching it, I added Chicago and Moulin Rouge to my nextflix que. I've seen them before but need another fix! ❓ Anybody know of any other movies that are similar dance styles? -- http://www.Poletopia.com Unique items that embrace the spirit of pole!
Just thought I'd share: I found a music video from the movie that shows the scene with the pole: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDPR5EoYqOs
